If you are local to Cincinnati and haven’t heard of Bargains and Buyouts, you are truly missing out. I recently attended a blogger event at the store and cannot wait to share all of the great things I learned about the amazing team, quality products, and an upcoming customer appreciation event you definitely don’t want to miss out on. This wasn’t my first visit to the store. I’ve actually been there many times before and love every item I have purchased. My favorite has been these dining chairs I purchased last year that perfectly completed the space.
The owners, Marc and Greg were truly inspirational people. I was excited to get the opportunity to learn about some of the behind scenes action that allows them to offer such affordable prices on name brand furniture. They shared their story about how they have built Bargains and Buyouts to be what it is today, and how they source their furniture. Their low prices are possible because of the work they put into finding the overstock and liquidated items. Some of the brands they carry are: Ashley Furniture, Vaughan-Bassett, and International Furniture Direct. One thing I learned was that they can even order some of these brands for you right from the store if they don’t have what you are looking for on the floor.
I’ve put together a list of some important things I think you should know about Bargains and Buyouts before making your next trip:
- You
canshould NEGOTIATE! They are expecting it, so don’t be shy. You will be amazed at the deals you can get! They also won’t follow you around or hound you like some other furniture stores. - They don’t just carry furniture. They have everything from lighting to bedding and curtains, and everything in between. This is a one-stop decorating shop and a great place to find everything to furnish an entire room in one store.
- The inventory changes daily! This means 2 things. 1. Stop in often for new finds and great deals. 2. If you see something you love, you better snatch it before someone else does.
- SHHHH this one is a SECRET; The best days to find the most selection are Tuesday-Saturday. The best days to snag the best deals and Sunday and Monday when the inventory is lower and they are looking to clear things out before new inventory arrives.
- Check for additional deals. As you walk in you’ll see a sign d any specials they are running in addition to the already low prices. Sometimes you can find deals as big as 80% off rugs or 50% off lighting.
Let me show you what I found this time!
I mean…. this couch! Only $699 before negotiating!
I had a hard time walking away from this desk. If I had a place for it in my house I would have snagged it!
Headboards galore!
I was OBSESSED with these chairs. Again, I wish I had a space for them in my home!
This was my favorite piece that I found. I can picture it beautifully styled and decorated for all seasons! I’m kicking myself now that I didn’t grab it then!
